A personal project experimenting with forming lines from dots and letters from lines. I wanted to make an intro animation for my showreel and came across a technique by ECAbrams.
Pre-production
I first designed my own font using only the elipse tool in Adobe Illustrator. Every line, curve, circle, and bend were designed to be mathematically proportional.
I then had to draw out lines that would be the path that the line travels out of the dot and into the form of each letter. I also had to ensure each starting point were all on the same x-axis.
